Our enthusiastic Activities Team organises a wide range of social and therapeutic events including group and one-to-one activities, which are tailored to the individual’s needs. Our residents and their families are all actively encouraged to take part.
Activities at Applecross include games, pet therapy, karaoke competitions, barbeques and theme nights. Days out include shopping, cinema, theatre, ten-pin bowling, and trips to the seaside. Travelling further afield, residents can also enjoy concerts, and even football matches. Transport is provided in our specially adapted minibus.
Our Residents and their relatives are invited and encouraged to be involved in all activities in the home and all of their own suggestions and ideas explored by the Activities Team, Residents, Staff and Relatives are invited to work together to enhance the lifestyle of our community.
Recognising the value of independence and the inherent dignity of each of our residents, Applecross Nursing Home has an open-door policy with regards to relatives and friends visiting and we strive to support our residents who wish to go outside the home to follow their own hobbies and pursuits.
